The set of Duncan mugs inspired me to think about maybe Eleven Four could provide this kinds of mugs because the design of the bottom of the mug is convenient for employees to put some biscuits inside and it could help they to maintain a clean table when they are busy.

Natasha Daintry, who makes vessels from porcelain, is good at using the color as a material for beautifully bowls. she belief that clay is inherently a flexible material and vessels fulfill both useful and abstract functions.The collection of Ziggurat inspired me to explore the relationship between color and tea.

Namely, applying the color from the tea might be a good way to design the cup. Moreover, putting the bowls from smell to big or big to smell is interesting because it is like the relationship of employees-- from management to workers in the office.

British tea cup--

With handle because in the past they use Turkey's glass cup but this material is not suitable for drinking hot tea so when British start to enjoy the hot tea, they decided to add the handle for the cup.

Chinese tea cup--

Different time have different style but most of them do not have handle because according to the Wen- Qi  Lo, The most wonderful taste of green tea should be produced when the water temparature is 15 degree (c) below the boiling point. Namely, after the process of boiling tea, the water  temperature would reduced about 10- 15 degree. We must wait patiently and the temparature of the tea cup would be just right to hold in hands therefore By not putting handle, it make people be more aware of the serving temparature.

Inspiration-- 20TH CENTURY CERAMIC DESIGNER IN BRITAIN

The devastation of Second World War had a serious impact on British ceramics industry; however, Jessie Tait who created some of the best known and most innovative ceramic designs of the 1950s did not be affected because she always leading the trend.

Through reading the book, 20TH CENTURY CERAMIC DESIGNER IN BRITAIN, I got some inspiration to create the cup of Eleven Four.

After the tutorial, 30^th of May, I organized some points for my next module. 

As for App, Eleven Four already had some interesting concept and complete functions in the second module, such as, a game called who is today’s tea lady, and the welcome package which could help you understand your colleague through scanning their package. However, in this module, I want to alter some functions of the app because according to the tutorial if I could let my app interact with the tea machine, it would be fascinating. In addition, I plan to create 10 shape of cups, such as Chinese teacup, victoria style teacup, sporting teacup, a builder mug, and Starbucks style, for the brand.   

 

There are several bullet points below:

• Continue to develop my illustration style

• Create a series of cup for Eleven Four

• A strong commonality across the brands identity: App, Package, Cups, and tea machine   should have strong brand identity.

•  Reflective journal.
