Case study-- Track My Macca' s

McDonald’s made an interesting app for people, who want to know what are the ingredients of the food and is hoping under the stimulus of the absorbing app, the company will increase customer in the Australia.

GPS and augment reality is apply in the application so when we want to have a dining at McDonalds, the GPS could serve you where is the nearest McDonalds to you and if you want to know where is your food from and the ingredients, the function of augment reality will show you some story about the foods.  Owing to the two methods, to enjoy the time in McDonalds is quite nice.

After I found this app, I thought perhaps the Eleven Four could combine both methods to form a new special app. For the GPS, it could determine which tea machine is near to you and in terms of image recognition software system, it can make people feel fun and interesting. For instance, when you near by the tea machine, the app will show you some animation or if you use the cup form Eleven Four and put the cup into the machine, the screen form the machine will display some interesting animation.

Tutorial-- 9 July 2013

Today, when I showed my illustration to my mates and Kay, I was more confident than last tutorial because Kay thought my illustration looks good. However, the problem of that how tea lady is nominated through the app. The question is still struggling my mind so I need to look at the original question I asked in the learning agreement to solve my design problem. In addition, I have to focus on how to bring people together socially both physically and digitally by tea drinking.



There are several bullet points below:

  • Look at how the lady is nominated through the app. 
  • Look at welcome package for tea drinker 
  • Look at strong color, graphic, imagery for cups—could they have the Lego on bottom?

Case study-- L'Oréal Paris




The concept of the application— The Color Genius is to help people determine the perfect make up combination to suit their mood and their outfit. If you use the function—Snap it—take a photo of your outfit, the application will analyze the color and gave you an ideal suggestion. When you are playing the game, you might be surprised that just like there has a professional make-up artist help you to make-up.

This concept inspired me to think about if we take a photo, then the application will analyze the color of our photo for finding a cup of tea to suit our feeling, it would be interesting. Moreover, the visual style of The Color Genius is very 60s so I could learn how it design the application and the layout displays.
