Starting and ending with the buns of the burger, the pages of the brand booklet turn and introduce the layers of ingredients and cooking methods of their burgers. Included, is a coupon that encourages customers to make a first visit.
Entirely produced out of paper. THE HANDBUGER
identity highlighting the artistry of making a good burger. Paper-crafting every ingredient allows each to be distilled to its basic shape, creating an identity system that is visually appealing and instantly recognisable. Its many seemingly disparate but harmonised elements are held together by a set of custom alphabets, constructed letter by letter to give The Handburger a fitting personality. I always curious about that if we want to create an innovative brand, how should we package the idea and how to present an identity system. However, now I can learn how THE HANDBUGER packages the entirely products. Therefore, as for my project, I will use the figure—tea lady—to package the entirely products.

EVERYTHING STOPS FOR TEA Goodhart, Hoffman & Sigler
Every nation in creation has its favourite drink France is famous for its wine It’s beer in
Germany Turkey has its coffee and they serve it blacker than ink Russians go for vodka And
England loves its tea
Oh, the fact’ry may be roaring With a Boom-a-lacka, Zoom-a-lacka, Whee! But there isn’t any roar when the clock strikes four Everything stops for tea!
Oh, a lawyer in the courtroom In the middle of an alimony plea Has to stop and have a pour when the clock strikes four Everything stops for tea!
It’s a very good English custom Though the weather be cold or hot When you need a little pick-up You’ll find a little tea-cup Will always hit the spot
You remember Cleopatra Had a date to meet Mark Anthony at three When he came an hour late, she said “You’ll have to wait For everything stops for tea!”
Oh, they may be playing football And the crowd is yelling “Kill the referee!” But no matter what the score when the clock strikes four Everything stops for tea!
Oh, the golfer may be golfing And is just about to make a hole-in-three But it always gets them sore when the clock yells “four” Everything stops for tea It's a very good English custom And a stimulant for the brain When you feel a little weary, a cup'll make you cheery And it's cheaper than champagne Now I know just why Franz Schubert Didn't finish his unfinished symphony He might have written more but the clock struck four And everything stopped for tea When I head the song, I think if the app will play the music, that would be interesting so I use the song to be the background song for the app.
After the last tutorial with Kay, she suggested me to search one of the foremost British textile designer—Lucienne Day for help me explore the 1950’s visual style. When I saw Day's furnishing fabrics, of which the most famous was the Festival of Britain abstract pattern Calyx, I was deeply impressed by her design works. She took motifs drawn from nature – flowers, grasses, shoots, the intricate patterns of the landscape – and transformed them into something absolutely new. Through the research of Lucienne Day, I created some interesting illustrations below and I will print those patterns on each mugs.

Nowadays, the use of QR codes is very common and convenient. Tesco’s virtual subway supermarket is a successful case of applying the QR codes to the online shopping.
In order to gain market control in Korea, Tesco Home Plus cooperated with the Seoul branch of Cheil Worldwide, an innovative agency specializing in digital and mobile marketing. They create a large, well-length billboard, which was installed in the station and looks like a real supermarket shelves. In addition, each displaying images of products has a QR codes for city dwellers to scan the code that they would like to purchase. It is convenient for busy workers.
Therefore, I thought maybe I could apply the QR codes to my project. For example, if we want to drink a cup of tea, we can order it by an app of Eleven Four; then, we can scan the QR codes, which is on mug, to the Eleven four’s tea machine while the QR codes will show your order to the machine so tea machine will made a cup of tea depends on the QR codes.
Now, I try to use the fifties elements to create the visual style of the app. Here's some images i've done and the animation of the app. Although i thought my works messing around with color and visual styles, my supervisor quite like some pages and gave me a lot of confidence to carry on. I hope the visual style of Eleven Four could keep consistent in whole app.
